Week 6: 2-8th of February

I will give you the warning now! BEWARE OF TYPOS! I'm a reader who reads a lot but still can't spell properly.

This week’s reading has been pretty solid I would like to say! I started of the week by finishing my first book of the month which was:

"Death of the author" by Nnedi Okorafor.

You know when you finish a book and you feel certain emotions about the book buthave no words to describe it. That was me when I finished...

I just remember finishing the book, feeling very happy that I had read it and in a way I felt enlightened and that my horizon was expanded!

The book explored three different genres at the same time which was wild! We got a literary fiction section, sci-fi-dystopian section and interview memoir style sections.

What enlightened me was reading about Nigerian-American experiences, reading the POV of a paraplegic character and peoples relationship with technology and it’s development.

I am finishing this week by starting my second book of this month which is

“The everlasting” by Alix E. Harrow

OOOFFF, THIS BOOK!! It’s truly something else. I’m only 100 pages in , and this just screams NEXT LEVEL ROMANTASY. The writing is really whimsical and descriptive!

I’m immersive reading this one with the audiobook, AND THE AUDOBOOK IS PERFECTION!!!

PSSST! There will be a reading vlog of my “The Everlasting” journey! So Stay Tuned!

Alright, that’s all I have for now....My dinner has gotten cold... I thought I could write this and eat at the same time, but nope! Can’t multitask at all XD

Stay AWESOME! XOXO

Will you join me on "The Monthly TBR Challenge"?
Will you join me on "The Monthly TBR Challenge"?

Welcome to the “Monthly TBR Challenge”! A challenge i created to help diversify my reading even more!🎉 I have created 5 slots that need to be filled each month! [You can adapt these to suit your reading needs.😌] Slot 1: a book randomly picked from the books you already own ( this includes physical books, e-books and audiobooks) Slot 2: a book by marginalised authors [this includes BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, NEURODIVERGENT & other unrepresented voices] Slot 3: is a book in a genre you don’t usually read Slot 4: is a book that’s non fiction Slot 5 : is the flexible slot, as in, you can for example, pick a book based on mood, or you need to read an arc, continue a series, and so on. I hope you wanna join me in this challenge! 🤩 [Btw! I realise now before posting the poetry can be fiction and non fiction. I apologise!🫣] #readingchallenge #monthlytbr #tbr #readers #readersofinsta monthly tbr challenge, bookish challenge, book community, reading community, diverse reading, booksta, books
